Mrs. Shaikha Al Mutawa

Shaikha Al Mutawa, Director of Hospitality Affairs Department in the Department of Economic & Tourism (DET), has more than 17 years’ experience in hospitality, marketing and promoting events. To date she has organized more than 300 tourism events and has served as Committee chairperson for events such as the National Day Celebrations and Dubai Summer Surprises, a position she held between 2005-2008. She oversee and manage the classification, holiday homes and timeshare activities and operations

In 2009, Shaikha was promoted to Director of Business Development, and involved in developing a variety of tourism projects such as sustainability project and leading some of the DTCM Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. In this role she has educated more than 1150 key decision makers in Dubai’s Tourism Industry with regards to the importance of environmental conservation. She chaired Dubai Green Tourism Award for 4 cycles and currently as director permits and tickets she oversee the events markets and venues from regulatory prospective, she currently handling the regulatory set , permit & ticketing issuance of events for Dubai events industry

A confident spokesperson, Shaikha has represented DTCM at several conferences and exhibitions, and appeared on international and local television programs. She one of key member who founded autism trust foundation and supported to provide the aid for the children with autism disorder and she still carrying her activates in improving the social fare on.

She won as best innovative employees in Government of Dubai in DGEP award recently and named as an “innovative employee” in the Dubai Government Excellence Program for 2013. She graduated of the Young Leaders Program of Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Center for leaders. And Emirati Global Secondments Program In her current role, Shaikha mentors’ staff in how to achieve their goals through acquired mastery of knowledge in career and business development. She has years of experience with key world shaper and mover in the world of human development such as Tony Robbins and master NLP from Richard Bandler, and ICF PCC coach. Shaikha holds MBA from Dubai University with honors.
